The event is of great importance to the telecommunications sector in Brazil and attracts leading professionals and researchers from all over the country.

IACIT, a leading company in technology and advanced solutions for Radar Meteorology, Air and Maritime Traffic Control (CNS/ATM), Telemetry, Integrated Networks, Communication, Defense and Public Security, will be exhibiting at the XLI Brazilian Symposium on Telecommunications and Signal Processing (SBrT23), which will take place from October 8 to 11, 2023, at the São José dos Campos Technology Park, located near the Aeronautics Institute of Technology (ITA).

IACIT’s participation marks its debut at the Symposium and seeks to strengthen its presence in the region, highlighting its expertise in advanced telecommunications technologies and, as part of this effort, it will present a portfolio of products that align with the themes of SBrT23, focusing on meeting the technical needs of telecommunications professionals.

At stand number 4, visitors will be welcomed by Jonas Xavier, IACIT’s National Sales Executive, who will highlight the following products:

The first will be the OTH 0100 (Over the Horizon), a maritime surveillance radar classified as a Strategic Defense Product. It offers greater and more efficient coverage for monitoring Exclusive Economic Zones (EEZ), as well as reducing costs. The OTH 0100 is one of the few in the world capable of tracking non-cooperative vessels at a distance of up to 200 MN (Nautical Miles) from the coast in real time. Among its many applications, the OTH 0100 system can be considered a key tool for curbing crimes such as piracy, product smuggling, drug and human trafficking, monitoring hostile forces, espionage, environmental crimes and preserving the natural wealth present in the EEZ.

The RMT 0200 Solid State Double Polarization S-Band meteorological radar network, which expands the meteorological coverage of Brazilian airspace and contributes to the safety and efficiency of flights in the national territory, is also part of the portfolio to be unveiled.

In the area of electronic countermeasures, IACIT will present DRONEBLOCKER. After observing the world market in the area of unmanned aircraft (UA) and foreseeing trends and problems, the company proposed this technological solution, a system capable of detecting and locating the presence of drones and blocking them with radio frequency interference.

Another outstanding solution will be the VIMTRAH (Beyond the Horizon Integrated Maritime Real-Time Surveillance) platform, a technology applied to Defense using Beyond the Horizon radar for maritime surveillance over long distances. The VIMTRAH platform fuses data from the OTH 0100, coastal radars, E/O sensors and collaborative sources, enabling real-time monitoring of parameters such as speed, latitude, longitude and course of targets, making the solution an important tool for maintaining maritime sovereignty, and it can also be used for air monitoring.

IACIT will also be emphasizing a product that has already helped Brazil achieve technological autonomy in this segment, the DME 0200 (Distance Measuring Equipment), an air navigation aid that makes it possible to determine the distance of an aircraft from a point located on the ground and supports spatial location as an alternative to GPS navigation. It is a 100% national product and is in operation in the various units of the Brazilian Air Force (FAB) through the Department of Airspace Control (DECEA).

The RADH0200, a high-resolution radar system developed to take measurements of Ocean Surface Currents using HF (High Frequency) signals, is also in the portfolio, as it includes the latest technology in signal processing, providing greater agility, precision and accuracy in measurements, according to each application to be used. The Radar Platform developed by IACIT uses modularity concepts, allowing its functional and operational capabilities to be adapted, and was designed to meet the various demands for other radars, for example, for maritime surveillance, air traffic monitoring and maritime sensing.
