At the main business aviation event in Latin America, the exclusive representative of Honda Aircraft in Brazil brings the new version of the aircraft that flies faster, higher and farther in its category.
During Labace (August 8-10), Congonhas Airport in São Paulo welcomes an illustrious visitor, arriving on Brazilian soil for the first time: the latest launch of Honda Aircraft – HondaJet Elite II. The super light jet was presented in October last year in the United States. Among the main innovations of this model are improvements in performance, comfort, design and degree of automation. At the Líder Aviação booth, visitors will be able to check out all the details of the new HondaJet up close.
“In addition to being the most economical and most sustainable among light jets, it is now possible to cover all the capitals of the Brazilian Northeast from the city of São Paulo with the HondaJet Elite II”, explains Anderson Markiewicz, Director of Aircraft Sales at Líder Aviação. “This is due to the increase in its range to 1,547 nautical miles – 110 nautical miles (approximately 200 km) more than its previous model,” he details.
Other highlights are Autothrottle (Automatic Power Control) and also Autoland (Autonomous Emergency Landing), further increasing the degree of automation and safety of the aircraft and reducing the pilot’s workload. In addition to the Autoland system, the HondaJet’s safety has been enhanced with the advent of the ASAS system, which provides greater stability and control on landings in adverse situations, such as with strong crosswinds. There are also audible and visual alerts that are issued if there is any divergence from the planned approach to the airport. On landings, the addition of ground spoilers* optimizes the aircraft’s braking performance.
Inside, the new model continues to stand out in terms of comfort, as it is the only one in its category that offers sufficient distance between seats, so that passengers’ knees, legs and feet do not touch. Among the new features that bring even more comfort to the HondaJet, is the improvement in the acoustic treatment from end to end of the aircraft, which provides more silence and tranquility – a feature that added to the innovative design of the engines over the wings (Over-The-Wing Engine Mount – OTWEM), which causes the vibrations common to jet engines to dissipate before reaching the fuselage. This design, in addition to providing a very low level of internal noise, also makes it possible to expand the cabin, toilet and luggage compartment space.
Other new features that increase comfort inside the HondaJet Elite II include additional space for pilot seat adjustment and softer lighting for night flights. The private lavatory continues to be equipped with a sink and running water, with additional natural lighting through skylights in the ceiling, an external toilet service outlet and a fully closing door, ensuring complete passenger privacy.
Regarding the exterior design, the aircraft brings two new paint versions: matte black and white with red stripe, in addition to the existing colors. The interior is also new, with new color patterns in onyx and metallic, including wood-toned elements on the seats and floor.

New generation of business jets
In June of this year, Honda Aircraft announced the launch of the HondaJet 2600, entering a new category of business jets with the capacity to accommodate up to 11 occupants. Expected to begin commercialization from 2028, the new model allows an efficient transcontinental flight, being the first light jet in the world capable of flying from one coast to another in the United States (2,600 miles or 4,184 km), non-stop.
The HondaJet 2600 had been presented, still as a concept jet, by Honda Aircraft in 2021, during NBAA-BACE (National Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition), one of the world’s leading business aviation events. With its spacious cabin suitable for long-range travel, the aircraft offers more comfort for passengers as well as greatly reduced vibration compared to conventional light jets. Maximum cruise speed will be 450 knots and in addition, the aircraft will dramatically reduce carbon emissions, with up to 20% better fuel efficiency than light jets in the category and 40% more fuel efficient than a mid-size jet during a typical mission. “We already have a very positive track record with the HondaJet so far and the expectation is that the HondaJet 2600 will be able to even better serve customers who need to travel for longer stretches – which makes perfect sense in a country the size of Brazil. It will also serve customers who want a light jet with the ability to fly from Brazil to the US with just one stop,” says Anderson Markiewicz, Director of Aircraft Sales at Líder Aviação.
