Ministry of Defense publishes an administrative ruling which classifies the UNA as a strategic solution for the country
The Ministry of Defense recognized the advanced unified communication solution UNA as a Strategic Defense Product (PED). The certification was published by the Ministry of Defense in June and reinforces the system’s information security, besides recognizing the strategic importance of the solution for national sovereignty and military intelligence.
According to federal regulations, all goods, services, works or information, including arms, ammunition, means of transport and communications, uniforms, and materials for individual and collective use used in defense activities, with the exception of those for administrative use, are recognized as Strategic Defense Products.
UNA, Dígitro Tecnologia’s unified corporate communication platform, is a tool which allows interaction between the institution’s collaborators by means of audio, video and text messages. It can be integrated to conventional telephony, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger and Telegram, enabling communication with external users. Dígitro is recognized by the Ministry of Defense as a Strategic Defense Company (EED). Granted only to companies which meet mandatory requirements, the certification aims to ensure national sovereignty and places the company among those selected to develop solutions for the Public Security and Defense of the country.
The main uses of UNA by public security institutions are related to collaboration, communication and file exchange in the contexts of Intelligence, Investigation and Field Operations. DIPOL is a pioneer in the use for Intelligence, ensuring the integration of evidence, evidence and sensitive information, having published a specific ordinance banning the use of Apps for cell phones and other messaging platforms.
The Brazilian Defense was another pioneer, testing and proposing several improvements and additional security that enabled the product to be approved. With the product, teams can exchange information, hold meetings via video calls, create work groups, receive external calls, and invite others to meet clients, suppliers, and other users outside the company, without the need to have UNA installed on the smartphone or browser, or be a user of the system.
UNA also allows the creation of videoconference rooms, transcription of videoconferences (personalized meeting ATA), screen sharing, chat, sending and receiving documents, photos, audio and video messages, and location. The solution also allows viewing the status of other users, available on multiple devices simultaneously with intelligent notifications and storage of communication histories on the server with traceability for the administrator.
