The Director General of the Department of Aerospace Science and Technology (DCTA), Lieutenant Brigadier Maurício Augusto Silveira de Medeiros, received on Tuesday (October 04), the Director of Defense and Security Business of Atech Embraer, Giacomo Feres Staniscia, and the Business Developer, Roberto Comodo. The meeting aimed to bring the institutions closer and develop future partnerships.

“Strengthening relationships with the Command is extremely important for the company’s consolidation. We have here a very rich ecosystem when it comes to technology and innovation. We understand that an approach with DCTA’s institutes brings expressive and concrete results”, points out the Director of Defense and Security Business.

For Lieutenant Brigadier Medeiros, Atech is an important company in the context of the Defense Industrial Base (BID). “Today we have a consolidated Defense Industrial Base, formed by companies that play an important role in our trade balance and in the development of strategic products for the Armed Forces. The partnership between Atech and the Brazilian Air Force (FAB), since the Amazon Surveillance System (SIVAM), has produced excellent results for Brazil,” commented the DCTA Director-General.

The Director General of the Department of Aerospace Science and Technology (DCTA), Air Lieutenant Brigadier Maurício Augusto Silveira de Medeiros, received on October 4, the company Aeropart Participações Aeroportuárias S/A, the new concessionaire of São José dos Campos Airport (SP).

In the opportunity, were present the DCTA Vice-Director, Air Major Brigadier Mauro Bellintani, and the Head of the Administration Subdepartment, Brigadier Engineer Eliezer de Freitas Cabral, as well as representatives of the Aeropart group.

“Today’s meeting was very productive, as it reinforced the fact that we are in line with DCTA regarding the strategies that will promote the aerodrome’s advancement,” commented Murilo Siqueira Junqueira, Aeropart employee.

In addition to passenger transportation, the airport has enormous market potential, including international, for cargo handling, with ease of integration of road, sea and rail modes. “The project presented by Aeropart for the commercial use of São José dos Campos airport is up to what the population of Vale do Paraíba expects for the city, since future partnerships will certainly bring more investment and development for the region,” pointed out Lieutenant Brigadier Medeiros.

The airport site has an area of 1,197,580.66 m². The cargo handling capacity is estimated at 14.5 thousand tons per year.
