On Tuesday 29th, the General Secretariat (SG) of the Ministry of Defense (MD) held a meeting with the Secretariat for the Coordination of State-Owned Enterprises of the Ministry of Management and Innovation in Public Services (Sest/MGI). The aim of the meeting was to learn about the new dynamics of interactions between Sest, state-owned companies and the supervising ministries.

On the occasion, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Defense, Luiz Henrique Pochyly da Costa, spoke about the efforts made by the ministry to find solutions to improve governance and the effectiveness of the prosecution of companies in the execution of public policies under the responsibility of the Ministry of Defense.

The Secretary of Sest, Elisa Vieira Leonel, who was accompanied by her team of managers, highlighted the secretariat’s role in supporting and guiding the actions of the supervising ministries in relation to their state-owned companies. Various issues of interest to the companies were also discussed, relating to the budget, personnel and the responsibility of board members, among others.

Present at the meeting were the presidents of Empresa Gerencial de Projetos Navais (Emgepron), Amazônia Azul Tecnologias de Defesa S.A. (Amazul), Indústria de Material Bélico do Brasil (Imbel) and Serviços de Navegação Aérea S/A (Nav Brasil), as well as the general officers of the three forces to which the entities are linked.
