It will be held this Saturday, June 03, 2023, a military ceremony in honor of Marshal Emílio Luiz Mallet, Patron of the Artillery of the Brazilian Army, on his 222nd birthday. The ceremony will begin at 7pm, at the 3rd Group of Self-propelled Field Artillery (3rd GAC AP), “Regiment Mallet”, located at Rua Marechal Hermes, Passo d’Areia, in Santa Maria/RS.
In order to praise the military traditions and the heroes of the Brazilian Army, the guests will attend the historical reconstitution of the victorious trajectory of the Baron of Itapevi, culminating in the Battle of Tuiuti, where Mallet demonstrated all his courage and value as a military leader.
The graduation will be presided over by the Army Commander, Army General Tomás Miguel Miné Ribeiro Paiva, in his first visit to Santa Maria after assuming the Land Force Command. Also present will be the Military Commander of the South, Army General Hertz Pires do Nascimento; the Commander of the 3rd Army Division, Division General Paulo Roberto Rodrigues Pimentel; active-duty and veteran gunners, military and civil authorities.
