Campo Grande (MS) – At the end of March, officers and sergeants from various units of the Western Military Command concluded another Aeromobile Operations Internship in the Pantanal. Conducted by the Army’s 3rd Aviation Battalion, the training contributes to expanding the Army’s aeromobile operational capacity.

The program included approaches related to flight safety, air traffic control, the organization of Army Aviation, aeromobile operations and techniques, meteorology and escape from submerged aircraft. Participants also practiced the hellocasting technique for landing helicopters and carried out activities in the region of Morro do Ernesto.

Also in March, in the city of Lorena, in the interior of São Paulo, 119 soldiers completed the Basic Aeromobile Combatant Internship.

Internship

The Aeromobile Operations Internship is designed to train Army aviation personnel to work alongside troops on the ground, enabling them to understand the possibilities, limitations and correct compliance with safety regulations. The internship emphasizes flight safety, helicopter landing zone instruction, helitransport operations and airborne infiltration and exfiltration. The students are military personnel from different military organizations in Brazil and friendly nations.
