Brasília (DF) – A series of official visits marked the VIII Bilateral Staff Conference (CBEM) between the Brazilian Army and the British Army. The activities conducted by the 5th Sub-Chief of the Army General Staff (EME), from July 17 to 20, 2023, were concentrated in the Federal District and Surroundings.
In addition to agreeing understandings between the two Armies for the years 2024 and 2025, the discussion forum also sought to strengthen institutional relations between the countries, strengthen bonds of friendship and mutual trust, and increase Military Diplomacy.
The 5th Deputy Chief of EME, Major General Gustavo Henrique Dutra de Menezes, chaired the conference and accompanied the British Army’s Head of Communications and International Relations, Brigadier General Chris Davies. The UK representative also visited the Cyber Defense Command, in Sobradinho, and the Army Artillery Command, in Formosa-GO.
