Atech presents Naval Defense solutions in Paris during Euronaval 2022Atech presents Naval Defense solutions in Paris during Euronaval 2022

Atech, a company of the Embraer Group, will be present at Euronaval 2022, one of the most important international fairs in the sector and will exhibit its entire portfolio of services and solutions for defense and security and its expertise in development and integration of complex naval systems. The event takes place between October 18th and 21st this year, in Le Bourget – Paris (France).

With operations in important Brazilian Defense programs and with presence in the international market, the company offers innovative and customized solutions for application in the areas of command and control, air traffic, cyber security, instrumentation and control systems, embedded systems, simulators and logistics. Atech has developed a robust set of technologies, with high integration, usability and scalability capacity.

These solutions, which are gathered in the Arkhe product family, can be applied in different defense environments, depending on the stage of evolution their systems are in. In Brazil, Atech is recognized and certified as a Strategic Defense Company by the Ministry of Defense and is present in the main programs carried out by the Armed Forces in the last two decades.

Through its participation in strategic projects of the Brazilian Navy, Atech has acquired an expertise that is rare to find in the global market of Naval Defense. Currently, the company participates in three important Brazilian naval programs: the PFCT (Tamandaré Class Frigates Program), Labgene (Nuclear Power Generation Laboratory) and the H225M/H-XBR (Systems for Naval Employment Embedded in Multimission Helicopters).

For these programs, Atech offers innovative solutions for the development and integration of complex naval systems. Among them are the CMS (Combat Management System) and the IPMS (Integrated Platform Management System), for the Tamandaré Class Frigates; the N-TDMS (Naval Tactical Data Management System), for the operational version of the Super Cougar helicopter (H225M); and also nuclear instrumentation and control systems for nuclear propulsion, command and control centers for fixed (C4I) and mobile (C2) defense and surveillance.

In the Tamandaré Class Frigate Program, Atech is a member of the SPE (Special Purpose Company) “Águas Azuis”, which also includes thyssenkrupp Marine Systems and Embraer Defesa & Segurança. This program foresees the manufacture of modern ships of high technological complexity and great combat power. These vessels will have the mission of safeguarding Brazil’s interests and protecting the riches of the Blue Amazon – an area of more than 4.5 thousand km² of waters under Brazilian jurisdiction.

The first frigate is already under construction. In the context of the PFCT, Atech is also the recipient company of the technologies that will be transferred (ToT) by international partners working on the development and integration of the frigates’ CMS and IPMS. In Labgene, Atech is responsible for the development of all the monitoring, control and protection systems of the laboratory, for the integration of the instrumentation systems and for the auxiliary systems that will operate in the unit. The company will also be responsible for training activities, assisted operation and support to the commissioning of the laboratory plant.

FAB delivers H225M helicopter to the Brazilian Navy

Within the H225M/H-XBR program, created by the Brazilian Ministry of Defense for the development of multi-mission helicopters, Atech is responsible for the command and control systems on board the aircraft, including the weapons system.

The company is participating in the development of the tactical mission system for the naval operational version of the H225M/H-XBR: the N-TDMS (Naval Tactical Data Management System). Through the integration of sensors and flight data, the N-TDMS presents the helicopter operator and the military command on the ground with the entire tactical situation around the aircraft, facilitating decision making by the crew or the operation center. Still in the Defense market, the company has participation in strategic projects in South America, Asia, Middle East, and North Africa, where it has recently installed a complete Air and Ground Surveillance system, which includes airborne platforms, fixed (C4I) and mobile (C2) command and control centers.

“The quality of the projects executed by Atech, added to the constant investments in training, technology and innovation, boosts its presence in the global market, and reinforces the reliability and safety of the solutions developed by the company,” said Edson Carlos Mallaco, President of Atech. Atech and Embraer representatives will be available at Euronaval 2022, at booth F-67 to discuss the company’s capabilities and solutions for the naval segment, as well as its current and future challenges.
