Brasília (DF) – The newest edition of the Social Trust Index (ICS) surveyed by IPEC (Intelligence in Research and Consulting) shows the Armed Forces among the five most trusted institutions for Brazilians. According to the survey, the Brazilian Navy, Brazilian Army and Brazilian Air Force scored 66 out of 100 points in the index, which ranges from 0 to 100 – with 0 indicating no trust and 100 absolute trust.
The survey was conducted between July 1 and 5, 2023 with 2,000 Brazilians from 127 municipalities. According to IPEC, the estimated margin of error is two percentage points more or less.
From 2009 to the current survey, confidence in the Armed Forces oscillated between 62 and 72 points, remaining within the historical average of all measurements.
