Akaer, a Brazilian company internationally recognized for developing cutting-edge technologies for the Defense, Aerospace and Industry 4.0 sectors, is a finalist in the 8th edition of the National Innovation Award, granted by CNI (National Confederation of Industry) and Sebrae.

The winners will be announced next Tuesday (26) at a ceremony at the São Paulo Expo in São Paulo (SP).

The National Innovation Award recognizes the best innovative practices in the country – it evaluates the innovation capacity of companies and ecosystems, going beyond isolated projects.

This year’s edition had a record number of participants: more than 3,000 entries, representing every state in Brazil. From these, 39 finalist companies (small, medium and large), 9 innovation ecosystems and 8 researchers were selected.

Akaer has won three awards in the last two editions of the PNI. In the 2018-2019 biennium, it won in the Product Innovation and Organizational Innovation categories. In the 2021-2022 edition, it was the champion in Process Innovation. In 2020, there was no award due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The National Innovation Award is sponsored by FINEP (Financier of Studies and Projects), a public company that promotes science, technology and innovation in the country.

With a solid track record of more than 30 years dedicated to the advancement of high-tech products, Akaer has a comprehensive range of solutions focused on innovation and integration.

Its portfolio includes the modernization of aircraft and armored vehicles, the development and production of new civil and military aircraft and unmanned systems (UAVs), the production of manned and unmanned aircraft or segments, optronic and laser-guided systems, missile subsystems and satellite cameras.

Akaer has its headquarters in São José dos Campos (SP) and two commercial offices abroad, in Portugal and Turkey.
