The Commander of the Air Force, Air Brigadier General Marcelo Kanitz Damasceno, gave a lecture at the Brazilian Air Force Command Internship (ECFAB), at the Air Force Command and Staff School (ECEMAR), located in Campo dos Afonsos (RJ).
During the event, the Commander spoke about the Command, Management and Leadership Directive to the 89 Senior Officers taking part in the course this year, which began on Monday (06/11).
The General addressed the need for future commanders of military units to pay attention to every detail in order to better manage the structures under their command. He also presented important characteristics to be implemented in management, such as innovation, facing challenges, perseverance and values.
“I am convinced that the happy moments will be many and will be remembered; the difficult ones will build our history,” said Lieutenant General Damasceno.
The activity was attended by the General Commander of Personnel, Air Brigadier Ricardo Reis Tavares; the Commander of the Airspace Control Department (DECEA), Air Brigadier Alcides Teixeira Barbacovi; the Commander of the Third Regional Air Command, Air Brigadier José Madureira Júnior; the Commander of ECEMAR, Air Brigadier Helmer Barbosa Gilberto, among other General Officers.
The Brazilian Air Force Command Internship, coordinated by ECEMAR and carried out in three modules lasting a total of four weeks, aims to direct the conduct of future leaders and managers in different spheres of activity, such as organizational management, budgetary and financial execution, asset management, legal implications and crisis management. The ECFAB thus aims to train the officers who will lead the various organizations of the Air Force Command (COMAER), under the auspices of the institution’s policies and guidelines.
