Taurus, a Strategic Defense Company and one of the world’s leading arms manufacturers, is at LAAD Security & Defense 2024 to exhibit its broad portfolio and exclusive pre-launches, reinforcing its strong technological and innovation capacity to offer cutting-edge products for the security, military and civilian markets.

The exhibition, the largest and most important in the area of Security and Defense in Latin America, takes place from April 2 to 4, 2024, at the Transamerica Expo Center in São Paulo.

LAAD Security & Defense brings together more than 150 exhibiting brands from 20 countries and around 38,000 visitors and official delegations from more than 35 countries, with optimistic prospects for new business, partnerships and networking. The exhibition has the support of federal, state and municipal security agencies, the Ministry of Defense, the Armed Forces and the Ministry of Justice and Public Security.

During the three days of the event, Taurus, the main exhibitor and with one of the largest stands together with Companhia Brasileira de Cartuchos (CBC), will display more than 160 models including revolvers, pistols and tactical weapons.

It is also exhibiting, for the first time at a trade fair in the sector, M.I.M. (Metal Injection Molding) technology and a compound, which is the raw material for M.I.M., developed by Taurus, which will mitigate dependence on external suppliers and increase the company’s self-sufficiency, as well as allowing it to sell to third parties in different businesses and markets, making it a new business center for Taurus.

Taurus, which is constantly investing in technology and innovation, will be exclusively presenting three pre-launches to visitors at LAAD 2024: the T9 MLOK 8″ carbine; the TS9 T.O.R.O. pistol and the TS9c T.O.R.O. compact version, featuring pioneering materials in their composition.

With the aim of serving a growing market niche, that of shooters who want to include optical sights on their weapons, whether for military use, police, personal defense, leisure or sports competitions, Taurus has developed the TS9 pistol and the TS9c compact pistol, in 9mm caliber, in the innovative T.O.R.O. (Taurus Optic Ready Option) version. This system provides users with greater flexibility and eliminates the need for additional customization costs, easily allowing the coupling of the main optical sights available on the market. The pistols come in three finish options: Cerakote® Graphene, Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) and Teniferized (Tenox).

The renowned TS9 pistol now has all the benefits of these pioneering Taurus technologies, which guarantee greater resistance and durability to the weapon. The exclusive coatings in Cerakote® Graphene, Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) or Teniferized Carbon (Tenox) provide the product with less wear and greater protection against corrosion.

Another Taurus novelty is the T9 MLOK 8″ carbine, the brand’s first in 9mm caliber and with an 8-inch barrel. The T9 carbine is a great option for the police and military market, and is ideal for tactical use in close-range situations in urban and rural environments. It is also suitable for sport shooting, as it offers the shooter comfort and greater control over the weapon, due to its low weight and less recoil.

With a modern design on the AR platform, the novelty is made from 7075 hard-anodized aluminium, providing lightness and strength, with a matte black finish and a steel barrel. It has a 32-shot capacity magazine, compatible with other models on the market, in matte or transparent polymer, which allows the ammunition to be seen.

The MLOK (Modular Lock) handguard provides better ergonomics, as well as being thinner, lighter and adaptable to the needs of each application, allowing accessories to be fitted as the user wishes.

The novelties are part of Taurus’ strategy of offering new products to the market and make the company’s portfolio even more complete, prepared to meet all the needs of Brazilian consumers and police and military institutions.

In addition to these pre-launches, Taurus is exhibiting other pioneering products, developed at its Brazil/United States Integrated Technology and Engineering Center (CITE). In the pistol line, the highlight is the innovative family of products with Cerakote® Graphene finish, including: TH 380 and the compact TH 380c version, in .380 AUTO caliber; GX4 XL and GX4 CARRY GRAPHENE, from the GX4 series, awarded Best Value Handgun in the United States by Ballistic Magazine and Handgun of the Year by Guns and Ammo Magazine.

In addition to the G3 series of semi-automatic pistols in 9mm caliber, which includes the G3 and the compact G3c version with Tenox finish.

Taurus is also exhibiting the TH10, a pistol in the 10mm caliber, a first on the Brazilian market, and the TH45, Taurus’ first pistol in the classic .45 ACP caliber with a high-strength polymer frame, the evolution of the well-known 845 pistol. Both models have a 4.25″ barrel, are 100% ambidextrous and have a Carbon Tenox finish.

In the revolver category, visitors will be able to check out the models in the Raging Hunter series, including the RT 38H, in .38 SPL caliber, with a 5-round capacity, 5.12″ barrel and Duo Tone finish, as well as models specially developed for the hunting and leisure market, such as the Taurus 460H, with the powerful .460 S&W Magnum caliber, and the RT 627, in .357 MAG caliber.

For consumers with a passion for classic guns, the Single Action Imperador revolver, inspired by the famous Single Action revolver, will be on display. This model became well known in western movies and was used by the US Army in the 19th century. The Single Action Imperador is a single action revolver with two grip options, in wood or polymer, two barrel sizes, 4.75″ and 5.47″ versions, two caliber options, .38 SPL and .45 COLT, and a Cerakote® Graphite Black finish.

Taurus is also exhibiting the RT 605 model with the innovative T.O.R.O. (Taurus Optic Ready Option) system, which is part of the world’s first line of revolvers ready to receive optical sights. And models from the Rossi-branded Taurus revolver range, recognized for their classic features and modern manufacturing techniques, including the RP63, RM64 and RM66.

In addition, the company is showing its renowned line of tactical weapons to the specialized public, with the highlight being the T10 semi-automatic precision rifle in .308 Win/7.62×51 caliber with a 20″ barrel.
