Porto Velho (RO) – Continuing the strategic deployment to Boa Vista (RR), in the north of the country, a section of the Logistics convoy made up of 50 military personnel, 14 Guaicurus vehicles from the 10th Mechanized Cavalry Regiment, and other specialized vehicles from various military organizations, arrived in Porto Velho (RO), after travelling more than 2,100 kilometers from Campo Grande – MS.

Today, the convoy embarked on the river vessels of the Amazon Military Command’s Vessel Center (CECMA). The rest of the vehicles, which are following in two other columns of march, are still on their way to Porto Velho, where they will also embark on CECMA’s river vehicles.

All these vehicles will continue on to Manaus (AM), by river, for approximately eight days, under CECMA’s responsibility. They will then be transported by road to Boa Vista, more than 780 kilometers away.

This logistical effort, in a country of continental dimensions, aims to incorporate modern armoured vehicles into the 18th Mechanized Cavalry Regiment, the newest unit of the Amazon Military Command.
