Belém (PA) – The Northern Military Command and a delegation from the United States Army are meeting for another planning conference in the Master Scenario Events List (MSEL) category, to survey and develop scenarios for the Combined Exercise CORE 23, which will take place in Amazon territory in November of this year. The activities are divided in the states of Pará and Amapá.

In the city of Belém, the planning teams dealt with issues related to troop preparation, logistics, and tactical coordination, in addition to ratifying the schedule of meetings and training at the Integrated Headquarters. In the city of Macapá, another team surveyed the areas where the exercises will take place and checked the port infrastructure for the arrival of the American ship with materials for CORE 23.

CORE 23 is the result of a cooperation program, signed between Brazil and the United States, which stipulates annual bilateral exercises until the year 2028. Through these activities, troops from both countries share experiences and exchange knowledge about doctrine and defense techniques, tactics and procedures.
