The Brazilian Navy, the Brazilian Army and the Brazilian Air Force, under coordination of the Ministry of Defense, have begun the “Ágata” Operation – Joint Command Uiara – in the Triple Border area, in cooperation with federal, state and municipal agencies and governmental agencies. The operation aims to combat trans-border and environmental crimes, and to intensify the presence of the Brazilian State in the border strip.

In the initial phase, a Fluvial Patrol Ship, a Hospital Assistance Ship, and an aircraft from the 1st General Employment Helicopter Squadron of the Northwest are participating in Patrol, Patrol, Naval Inspection, Hospital Assistance, and Civic-Social Actions.
