SHOT Show is the world’s largest arms and ammunition fair

Taurus, the world’s leading seller of small arms, was present at SHOT Show 2025, presenting the latest innovations and its broad portfolio of products that are conquering the global market at a 370 m2 stand.

The largest arms and ammunition fair in the world, with more than 2,800 exhibitors, SHOT Show 2025 took place from January 21 to 24 in Las Vegas, United States.

Among the launches presented by Taurus this year was the GX2 pistol, launched globally this January. In 9mm caliber, this innovation comes to redefine the world market, continuing the trajectory of the renowned G2c, number 1 in sales worldwide in its category of compact pistols, with more than 3 million units sold globally. The new GX2, in a variety of finishes, has a 13-shot capacity and SA – Striker Fire action. The barrel is 3.39” and weighs just 540g.

Still in the pistol line, another highlight at the Taurus stand at SHOT Show 2025 is the TUC 22 microcompact, recently launched in the United States, in .22 LR caliber, ideal for concealed carry or as a backup weapon. With a 2.5” barrel, a length of 127mm and weighing around 280 grams, it is an extremely light weapon. One of its main features is its tilting barrel, which makes it easy to load without having to operate the bolt. The weapon has a double-action trigger (DAO) and a 9-shot magazine, balancing portability and capacity.

The company also exhibited models from the Graphene family of products, produced with graphene technology, exclusive to Taurus, including the TS9 pistols in 9mm caliber, TH in various calibers and the complete GX4 series, awarded by the specialized international press as Best Value Handgun, by Ballistic Magazine, and as Handgun of the Year, by Guns and Ammo Magazine.

Another product in the spotlight was the Taurus GX4 Carry pistol, which, in addition to the 9mm caliber, is also on display in the innovative .38 TPC (Taurus Pistol Caliber), the first Brazilian caliber in history and a world first.

The .38 TPC is another option that fills a ballistic gap that existed worldwide between the .380 Auto and the 9mm caliber. The new caliber has up to 40% more energy than the .380 Auto and 28% less recoil than the 9mm, making it possible to quickly recover the sights and increase accuracy.

“Our caliber, the .38 TPC, is an absolute success. In Brazil, it already accounts for more than half of the guns sold and registered with SINARM – the Federal Police. In the United States and other countries, even with the 9mm caliber, there is a demand for our .38 TPC, especially for people looking for a gun with a more comfortable recoil,” says Salesio Nuhs, Global CEO of Taurus.

Taurus also exhibited tactical weapon models that are internationally recognized by the military and police forces, such as the various versions of the T4 rifle, in calibers 5.56x45mm, 7.62x51mm and .300 BLK, the T9 carbine in 9mm caliber and the T10 rifle in .308 Win/7.62x51mm caliber.

The Taurus Expedition Rifle, which was presented last year in .308 Win caliber, was now on display with the 6.5 Creedmoor caliber option.

Visitors to the company’s stand could find the traditional pistol models, including the 1911, and the well-established Taurus revolvers, especially the 650 and 850. Both new models have a compact design, ideal for carrying. With a 5-shot capacity, 2“ or 3” barrel options and different finishes, the revolvers have a double action system (DAO) and built-in dog, guaranteeing a smooth and efficient draw. Available in .357 Magnum and .38 SPL calibers respectively, the novelties combine classic style and modern functionality.

Also on display were the Executive Grade products, a line of premium revolvers with a special trigger system, hand-polished satin finish and wooden grip, which won the ‘Best New 2024 Revolver Series’ at the renowned Ballistic’s Best awards.

Also on display were the classic guns from the Rossi and Heritage brands, produced by Taurus.

In addition to all the launches and highlights on display, other guns planned for future launch in Brazil were present in an exclusive space reserved for Brazilian customers who visited the stand at SHOT Show.

International recognition

Taurus welcomed Donald Trump Junior to its stand at SHOT Show 2025. The American businessman and son of the current President of the United States, was welcomed by Taurus’ Global CEO, Salesio Nuhs, and praised the Company for the development of the .38 TPC (Taurus Pistol Caliber), as an innovative solution to meet the needs of the Brazilian market.

“Congratulations, Taurus. I understand the excessive regulation that you have to deal with, but I love that you are really innovating to get around the new rules that are made to prevent people from having access to firearms. So congratulations on 38 TPC. And I look forward to a lot more news in the near future,” said Donald Trump Jr.

Salesio Nuhs commented on this moment: “Trump Jr’s visit to our stand is a demonstration of the respect and admiration the Americans have for the Taurus brand”.
