Taurus and Companhia Brasileira de Cartuchos (CBC) are present at IWA & Outdoor Classics 2023, the largest arms and ammunition fair in Europe. The event takes place between March 2 and 5, in the city of Nuremberg, Germany.

On the occasion, the companies, Brazilian multinationals and major manufacturers of weapons and ammunition in the world, present their broad product portfolios and launches aimed at the segments of shooting sports, hunting and defense, in a booth with more than 500 m² located in a prominent area.
Among the Taurus products, visitors will find on display, in addition to the GX4 microcompact pistol, which won the most important award in the United States gun industry – the coveted Handgun of the Year 2022 award from the North American magazine GUNS & AMMO, the new GX4 XL T.O.R.O (Taurus Optic Ready Option – a version that allows it to receive Red Dot optical sights) pistol.

This model, which is part of the innovative modular platform of GX4 pistols, has a longer bolt, 3.7″ inches long (the standard GX4 has 3″), stainless steel barrel coated with pioneering DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) technology, two options for grip and magazine (with capacity for 11 or 13 cartridges).

The brand is also exhibiting the G3 line of pistols, among them the G3 T.O.R.O TACTICAL, the compact G3c, G3X and G3XL, the highly regarded TSeries line of weapons, including the TS9 and TH9 pistols and their compact versions, as well as the PT92 caliber 9mm and 1911 caliber .45ACP pistols.

Another important line of pistols on display at the IWA is the TX22, composed by the Full Size, Competition and Compact versions, especially designed to meet the most rigorous demands of sport shooting in .22 LR caliber, already prepared to receive optical sights from various brands. The TX22 won the Handgun of the Year 2019 award, from the American magazine GUNS & AMMO, for its exceptional design, reliable performance, diverse applications and low cost.

Taurus also presents the HUNT line, a diversified collection that expands the Raging Hunter series in the international market, a reference in revolvers aimed at hunting and leisure, composed of calibers such as the .454 Casull, .44 Magnum, .357 Magnum and the powerful .460 S&W Magnum. In this line, the company brings two great novelties: the new Taurus Raging Hunter 500 Magnum, which is the union of the world’s toughest double-action hunting revolver with the most powerful light gun caliber, available in a variety of barrel lengths. The new Taurus Raging Hunter 460 Magnum, meanwhile, adds the 10.5-inch barrel to its line, containing a custom compensator.

Among the Taurus revolvers specially developed for the hunting and leisure market, the models RT 444 RAGING BULL, RT 44c TRACKER, RT 627 TRACKER, RT 605, RT 689, RT 82S, RT 856 T.O.R.O, RT 942, RT 970 TRACKER, RM66 and RP63 also stand out.

In the line of long guns, visitors will also be able to check internationally recognized models, such as the Taurus T4 rifle in the 5.56 caliber with a 14.5″ barrel and in the .300BLK caliber with 9 and 16-inch barrels.

In the ammunition segment, Companhia Brasileira de Cartuchos (CBC), through its brand in the international civilian market Magtech, officially launches three new products in the European market. The first is the .22 WMR (Winchester Magnum Rimfire) ammunition, which is especially designed for sport shooting and hunting small animals, offering low recoil and excellent accuracy. The company also presents the .460 S&W MAGNUM ammunition, generally used for hunting medium to large animals. And it introduces in the European market the POLYMATCH line of ammunition, which offers a variety of calibers, with the projectile coated with four layers of special polymer that avoids metal-to-metal contact between the projectile and the barrel, thus keeping the gun cleaner, a consequence of the projectile’s core polymer coating, without the need for a copper jacket.

As for long guns, with the Rossi brand, it presents the new ROSSI R95 lever-action rifle, in the 30-30 WIN caliber, with German Beech wood stock and 16.5″ and 20″ rusted barrel, ideal for hunting.

CBC is also launching the RIO BRAVO RANCH (classic size 20″) and RIO BRAVO RANCH HAND (compact size 12.5″) in 22LR caliber, two special editions of the Rio Bravo family that count with a special chemical treatment in the receptacle that provides a unique appearance to each gun. The RIO BRAVO NICKEL is also released, with nickel-plated finish and laminated wood or black stock options.

For the classic rimfire Semi-Auto and Bolt-Action rifles (7022, 7122M, 8122 and 8122M), CBC now also offers guns with wooden stock. The Semi-Auto 7022 DELTA rifle gains a new caliber, the 22WMR.

Finally, CBC launches the MONTENEGRO SURVIVAL single-shot rifle with a 16.1″ barrel and the 9″ MONTENEGRO PISTOL, in which both have a break-action system with the possibility of firing .410 Bore and 45 Colt ammunition in the same barrel.

Most of these products are already available in the Brazilian market. Some, however, depend on the need for prior approval by the competent body for commercialization.
