São Paulo (SP) – Between September 10 and 12, the 2nd Army Division held the Aeromobile Seminar in the Context of Convergence Operations 2040. Held at the Ibirapuera Headquarters, the event aimed to prepare for Operation Perseus, and included debates on the actions needed for the southeastern airborne troops to adapt to the Brazilian Army’s operational concept 2040 – Convergence Operations.

The discussions ranged from combat roles to the use of drones in modern conflicts, including information operations. Organized by the Aeromobile Infantry Brigade, the seminar focused on the Army’s air assault troops, highlighting the use of the aeromobile unit and identifying its capabilities and limitations. The aim is for the Land Force to always have an airborne troop that is prepared, up-to-date and has a high deterrent capacity.

The three study days were attended by military personnel from the Army General Staff, the Southeast Military Command, the FAB’s Aerospace Science and Technology Department, the 2nd Army Division, the Army Doctrine Center, the Army Command and General Staff School, the Army Aviation Command, the Officer Training School, the Agulhas Negras Military Academy, the Aeromobile Infantry Brigade, the Paratrooper Infantry Brigade, the 11th Mechanized Infantry Brigade, the Armored Training Center and the Communications School.
