In today’s challenging business world, where competition is fierce and technological advances occur at a rapid pace, security is a fundamental pillar for the productivity and sustained success of any company. It is no longer enough to focus solely on operational efficiency and productivity.
Security, both physical and digital, has become an indispensable requirement for dedicating oneself to generating value, achieving the company’s financial objectives and maintaining the trust of customers and employees.
Security threats are present in all companies, regardless of their size or the market they serve. However, there are macro variables that make the threats even more exacerbated, such as the low levels of perceived security in most Latin American countries, which affect sustainable development and economic growth.
Due to these complex economic and social dynamics, companies are increasingly exposed to external and internal security threats that affect the well-being of their employees and clients and the protection of their property, assets and information, to such an extent that, if they are not prepared or shielded, this can cause them to go out of business.
In view of this, companies have chosen to rethink their business strategies with a new approach, understanding that security must be approached as a central axis where best practices, appropriate security technologies and experience are combined to minimize risks and losses.
The fields of application for security technologies are numerous and diverse. From radios that allow teams to stay connected regardless of where they are and call for help if necessary, to body cameras that allow them to understand events as they happen in order to have precise situational awareness and coordinate an effective response.
In addition to these solutions, there are access control technologies that make it possible to unify alarm, identity and video management to provide greater access control to facilities, and fixed cameras that, located at strategic points, offer applications such as search by appearance and alert generation – using artificial intelligence – which make it possible to locate people and assets in record time.
Taking a proactive approach to security challenges is fundamental. Only when a company’s people, assets and operations are secure is it possible to keep everything running and focus on the variables of business growth and development such as productivity and efficiency.
