The company highlights the importance of its partnership with Brazilian industry, emphasizing its commitment to delivering innovations

At Navalshore 2024, Saab is showcasing solutions from the SeaEye family, the company’s business line which is a world leader in underwater electric robotics.

With intelligent and sustainable technology, the different Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs) are already used in a wide range of services in Latin America, for the maritime domain in civil and military activities in Brazil, Chile and Colombia.

Remotely Operated Vehicles

The ROV is a type of underwater vehicle operated remotely by a person on board a vessel or on land. They can be used for scientific research, observation, inspection and environmental work. From a military point of view, they can also support regional navies in the areas of rescue operations, underwater search and research and diving support.

Leopard model

This is the case with the Leopard model, used in Brazil for offshore activities and recently incorporated into the Spanish Navy for rescue, salvage and submarine operations. The Leopard is used for naval security, underwater surveillance and other military missions.

Our partnership with Brazil is very valuable and we are ready to deliver innovation. We bring the quality of our products and solutions, which are widely used around the world, but we are also willing to listen to the development interests of Brazilian industry, in which we can cooperate with technology transfer according to demand and the market,” comments Pieter Verbeek, Director of Market Development at Saab Brazil.

Enforcer project

The executive also highlights the portfolio of vessels and the evolution of autonomous platforms. Saab is leading the Enforcer project, which uses the base of the CB90 combat speedboat for autonomous activities.

The CB90’s high performance and various functionalities can be used for relevant and necessary missions in Brazil, such as landing special forces, patrolling rivers and coastlines, search and rescue actions and curbing illegal activities in the Amazon.
