BAE Systems (pavilion 3, stand J20) will present at LAAD Defense & Security, Latin America’s largest and most important defense and security trade show, solutions for land, sea and air – including advanced technologies that offer economic development opportunities for Brazil and Latin America. During the event, held April 11-14, 2023, at Riocentro – Rio de Janeiro Convention and Exhibition Center, the company will also focus on the existing partnerships between BAE Systems and Brazil and with all of Latin America.

During the event, BAE Systems will present the land capabilities of the CV90 family of infantry fighting vehicles and the M109A7 artillery system. The Ocean Patrol Vessel Amazonas class ships and the 40Mk4 and 57Mk3 naval weapon systems will be the highlights of BAE Systems’ maritime portfolio. In addition, the LiteHUD™ head-up display will be on display, alongside leading air defense products such as radars, APKWS® laser guidance kit and electronic combat and communications equipment. Additional solutions will appear in the company’s interactive digital presentation system, such as training and maintenance activities. Within the airline domain, BAE Systems will continue to collaborate with Embraer on its commercial aviation products, including the C-390 military transport aircraft and the EVE Urban Air Mobility aircraft. The company’s electric propulsion solutions for municipal transportation, heavy vehicles and military will also be presented.

BAE Systems has a long-standing partnership with Brazil, the Brazilian Army and the country’s industry, which originated in the 1970s. The range of equipment in service in the country’s armed forces includes M109A5+ self-propelled artillery shells; M113 armored personnel carriers and L118 light shells, used by the Brazilian Army. In addition, three Ocean Patrol Vessel class ships, naval weapon systems, training and maintenance services offered to the Brazilian Navy, and Amphibious Assault Vehicles (AAVs) used by the Brazilian Marine Corps. The company is also Embraer’s partner in commercial aviation, on the C-390 military transport aircraft and the EVE Air Urban Mobility vehicle, as well as the company is a customer of ammunition manufacturer EMGEPRON.
