The company received the Minister of Defense and several international delegations, to whom it presented its ballistic protection solutions
The PROTECTA Group’s participation in the 8th BID Brazil Show, which took place in Brasília (DF) between December 3 and 5, was a great success. The company’s stand was visited by businesspeople, public managers and military authorities from Brazil and abroad.
At the BID Brazil Exhibition, one of the most important national defense and security events and an important showcase for the market, PROTECTA presented new ballistic protection technologies. Certified as a Strategic Defense Company (EED), it occupies a leading position in the supply of products for the public security market.
On the first day of the event, the PROTECTA Group was visited by the Minister of Defense, José Múcio Monteiro. He was welcomed by CEO Victor Gallo, who presented products such as ballistic vests and shields, as well as the automotive armor system.
PROTECTA was visited by representatives of the National Secretariat for Public Security, the Ministry of Justice and Defense, as well as representatives of the Security Forces of various Brazilian states. Several delegations from Latin American and African countries were also visited by ambassadors and military attachés.
“These visits show the high level of quality and performance of our products, which have international certification and are a benchmark in the market,” commented Gallo.
On Thursday (5), Gallo took part in the “Ballistic Solutions” panel, which took place in the BIDS Studio, one of the spaces on the ABIMDE stand. He discussed the new technologies adopted in the industry and how they have revolutionized the market.
Ballistic Protection
The PROTECTA Group produces high-performance items designed especially for the needs of the Security Forces, such as Level III and III+ tactical vests. All of these are classified as Strategic Defense Products (SDP).
Among the stand’s highlights were the lightest and most flexible ballistic vests on the national and international market, with technology that provides increased ballistic performance, ergonomics and high performance, all attested to by the NIJ 0101.06 Certification.
PROTECTA produces level III and III+ ballistic vests, in ostensible, tactical and concealed models, used by different security forces throughout Brazil and for private use.
Ballistic shields, used by security forces throughout Brazil, were also exhibited at the BID Brazil Show. They guarantee individual or collective protection, certified according to NIJ 0108.01, level III-A and weather (NBR1000).
Also featured were the automotive armor kits, produced with highly technological materials such as aramid and polyethylene, and therefore offering greater lightness while maintaining high protection performance. The PRO-UD Polyethylene molded kits use the latest technology, providing lightweight, versatile and extremely resistant armor, guaranteeing maximum safety without compromising the vehicle’s performance.
“We had an excellent turnout at the BID Brazil Exhibition. Many people visited our stand and were able to see the quality of our life-saving solutions,” concluded Gallo.
