On Tuesday (28/01), the Brazilian Air Force (FAB) recorded a historic milestone: the first flight of the U-100 Phenom with a crew made up exclusively of women. The mission, carried out by the Sixth Air Transport Squadron (6th ETA) – Guará Squadron – was conducted by Air Captain Bruna Nascente Teles, the aircraft’s commander, and Air Lieutenant Karoline Ribeiro Loureiro, the pilot.

The flight left Brasília (DF) for Guarulhos (SP). This logistical transportation mission represented another significant step in the history of female protagonism in the FAB.

Captain Bruna expressed her pride at leading this historic mission and stressed the importance of the moment for Brazilian Military Aviation. “It’s an honor to be part of the 6th Air Transport Squadron and, even more so, to be part of this milestone that celebrates the pioneering spirit and capacity of women in the Brazilian Air Force. Moments like this show how far we have come and inspire us to fly higher and higher,” she said.

She also highlighted the impact of the achievement for future generations. “We know the weight that this flight represents not only for us, but for all women who wish to pursue a career in military aviation. It is a symbol that the sky is not the limit for those who dedicate themselves and believe,” she said.

The Phenom 100, a modern and versatile aircraft, is one of the most recent additions to the FAB fleet. Widely used for organ transport missions, the aircraft also stands out for its capacity for agile and efficient transport operations, reinforcing logistics operations and demonstrating the technological and operational evolution of the Brazilian Air Force.
