The Director General of the Department of Aerospace Science and Technology (DCTA), Lieutenant Brigadier Maurício Augusto Silveira de Medeiros, and the DCTA Vice Director, Air Major Brigadier Mauro Bellintani, received, on July 19, Brigadier General Ricardo José Nigri from the Army Aviation Command (CAVEX) and Brigadier General Rodrigo Ferraz Silva from the 12th Airborne Light Infantry Brigade. In the occasion, while presenting DCTA's structure to the delegation, the Director-General spoke about the triple helix concept and highlighted the strategic role of DCTA's institutes, which contribute to the development of the aerospace cluster in Vale do Paraíba. "The approximation between the Forces is of fundamental importance to strengthen ties and direct efforts, always focusing on the development of projects that can add value to our country," he said. During the meeting, the authorities also talked about some of the most renowned engineering education organizations in Brazil, such as the Aeronautical Technological Institute (ITA) and the Military Engineering Institute (IME). At the end of the visit, Lieutenant Brigadier Medeiros highlighted the importance of integration between the Forces. "DCTA's doors will always be open to such relevant institutions as the Brazilian Army, seeking future actions that lead to joint projects that can benefit society," he concluded.
