On June 23rd and 24th, Sea Captain Leonardo Taumaturgo Pavoni participated in the preparation activities to assume the position of Military Advisor to the Military Advisor of the Permanent Mission of Brazil to the United Nations (UN). He will replace Sea and War Captain Marcelo Lancelotti. The briefings took place at the Ministry of Defense and at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In the occasion, Commander Pavoni received orientation from the Global Organizations Section of the International Organizations Sub-headquarters; from the International Operations Sub-headquarters; from the Policy and Strategy Sub-headquarters, and briefing from the Advisor for Nuclear Area Affairs.

Finally, the officer attended the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where he was received by diplomats from the United Nations Department. During the briefing, there was a brief update on the issues dealt with in the context of United Nations Organizations.
