The partnership with Condor reinforces the Marine Corps’ role in innovative technologies for defense and security
The Brazilian Navy, through the Marine Corps (CFN – Corpo de Fuzileiros Navais), and the company Condor Tecnologias Não Letais (Condor Non-Lethal Technologies) are moving forward in a strategic partnership aimed at developing technologies and doctrine for non-lethal use in a wide range of operational scenarios. The new step represents another milestone in the modernization and improvement of operational capabilities, reinforcing the CFN’s role as a reference in the use of these technologies.
The action directly contributes to its ready-for-use status and reinforces the Brazilian Navy’s (MB – Marinha do Brasil) commitment to developing innovative solutions for defense and security in partnership with the national industry.
To achieve this goal, the two institutions signed a Technical Cooperation Agreement (ACT – Acordo de Cooperação Técnica) last Tuesday (19), which will be followed by a work plan that is divided into four phases: diagnosis and planning; technological development; testing and validation; and implementation and training.
“We had the chance to see the use of some of the equipment at the operational demonstration coordinated by the CFN here on our premises and this is a source of great pride for us. The Marines are a troop recognized worldwide for their excellence in action and they proved that this joint effort can bear good fruit for the population. Above all, we work to preserve human life and the innocent, using the right energy and the most appropriate tool for each case. That’s why it’s really a great honor to take part in all these developments and to be able to help our country in some way,” said Frederico Aguiar, Condor’s CEO.
“We understand that this is a strategic partnership and, after seeing the available infrastructure up close, we left here even more convinced that it was the right decision. Condor has stood out over the years as one of the most complete non-lethal technology companies in the world, so for the CFN it is a privilege to join forces in a project that will soon place the marines as a benchmark in the use of this equipment. In addition, this agreement between the CFN and Condor strengthens the synergy between the Armed Forces and the National Defense Industry, contributing directly to the country’s development,” said the Commandant General of the Marine Corps, Admiral Carlos Chagas Vianna Braga.
