Vale do Paraíba (SP) – From August 19 to September 6, the Aeromobile Infantry Brigade carried out Operation Fornovo I, with the aim of training all the GC-level units of its Aeromobile Military Organizations. The exercise is part of the Aeromobile PAB and is part of the GU’s preparation for Operation Perseus 2024.
In total, around 1,800 military personnel took part in the operation, which was planned, organized and executed in a decentralized manner, through workshops aimed at training the small units in basic Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTP).
Last week, the “A COBRA FUMOU” challenge was held, a CG competition that brought together the best fractions from all the Aeromobile OMs. The competition was divided into orienteering, marching, fraction shooting, operational swimming and basic combat TTP. At the end of the competition, the Combat Group of the 6th Aeromobile Infantry Battalion was crowned champion.
Following on from the Airborne Infantry Brigade’s preparation for Operation Perseus 2024, Operations Fornovo II, III and Fornovo EM will be carried out in September and October, with the aim of training the Platoon, Subunit and Unit level fractions, as well as the General Staffs of the Airborne Units.
