The strengthening of the historical relations of more than five decades between the Brazilian Air Force (FAB) and the most important aeronautical company in the country: Embraer. This was the focus of the meeting between the Commander of the Air Force, Air Lieutenant Brigadier Carlos de Almeida Baptista Junior, and Embraer President and CEO Francisco Gomes Neto, which took place this Wednesday afternoon (June 22), in Brasilia (DF).

According to Lieutenant Brigadier Baptista Junior, the visit of Embraer’s CEO reaffirms the strategic partnership of FAB and the Armed Forces with Embraer, which is an honor for all Brazilians.

“It is a national pride that was born within the Brazilian Air Force, with its first project, the Bandeirante. So, without a doubt, it is a permanent relationship,” he stressed.

The Aeronautics Commander pointed out that it is unthinkable to have an Air Force without a strong aeronautical industry.

“This is a national activity that is now launching itself in the areas of space, radar, and air traffic, that is, they are several sectors of interest, especially in the scope of Embraer Defense and Security,” he pointed out.

Embraer President and CEO Francisco Gomes Neto said the visit was very important because it reinforces the good relationship between Embraer and the Brazilian Air Force. He also commented on the relevance of the partnership for the development of the country’s aviation industry:

“FAB is a very important pillar that has supported Embraer in the development of technologies and new businesses. And there are several examples of success in recent years, such as the Super Tucano and the KC-390 Millennium,” he stressed.
