Recently, BlackRock, one of the world’s largest asset managers, acquired a significant stake in Embraer’s common shares .

Acquisition of shares by BlackRock:

At the end of August 2024, BlackRock bought Embraer shares, as revealed in a document sent to the market. This move drew attention, especially as Embraer’s shares have performed impressively.

Over the course of 2024, Embraer’s ordinary shares rose an incredible 107.3%. They went from around R$22.39 at the close of the last trading session of 2023 to R$46.42 at the close of trading on Tuesday (September 3, 2024).

BlackRock’s shareholding:

BlackRock now holds more than 5% of Embraer’s common shares. This represents around 39.8 million shares of the more than 740 million shares in circulation on the market.

It is worth noting that BlackRock has stated that its intention is strictly investment, with no plans to change the company’s shareholder control or management structure.

Outlook and Investments:

Embraer, one of the world’s largest aircraft manufacturers, is a global benchmark in commercial, executive, agricultural and military aviation. Founded in Brazil, the company is headquartered in São José dos Campos and operates in several countries, consolidating its position as a leader in aircraft with up to 130 seats.

Recently, BlackRock acquired a 5.49% stake in Embraer’s common shares, equivalent to approximately 40.7 million shares. This transaction reinforces the market’s confidence in the Brazilian manufacturer and boosts its valuation. BlackRock’s entry as a significant shareholder in Embraer could also strengthen the company’s international reputation and attract new investors.
