Among other products dedicated to technological improvement and preservation of lives in public safety, the company is presenting TASER 10 and Dedrone solutions, dedicated to drone interception.
Axon, a global leader in public safety technologies dedicated to protecting lives through innovative solutions, is taking part in the 4th Police Operations Congress – COP International, which takes place between 16 and 18 October in São Paulo. The event brings together Public Security and Defence authorities and professionals from all over the country to discuss the adoption of less lethal technological solutions in the fight against crime.
Known for its body cameras, TASER neuromuscular incapacitation devices and evidence management platforms, Axon is transforming the way security forces operate, making them more effective and transparent in minimising direct confrontations.
During COP International, the public will be able to see in practice how the TASER 10, a neuromuscular incapacitation device with a range of 13.7 metres and the capacity to fire up to 10 projectiles, works. In addition, visitors will be able to experience simulations of complex scenarios, such as interactions with people with mental disorders in times of crisis, which are used in training for public security agents to improve approach tactics in such situations.
‘Axon’s solutions protect the physical integrity of law enforcement officers and citizens, providing more opportunities to neutralise threats while reducing the risk of serious injury. We are constantly developing our virtual reality programmes, which significantly reduce the costs of training security forces, empowering agents and encouraging the development of skills such as communication and empathy,’ says Arthur Bernardes, Axon’s Country Director in Brazil.
Virtual reality training is a great facilitator for expanding training opportunities, as it can be carried out anywhere. In this way, police agencies can train their officers in a decentralised way and without the need to organise collective actions for the entire contingent. The solution also stands out for enabling practical training without wasting materials. ‘While some pieces of equipment require the use of live ammunition for police officers to perfect their techniques, with our training simulations, officers can practise the use of the TASER without actually using the device during the exercises,’ explains the executive.
Dedrone, the world leader in airspace security against drones, is another highlight that Axon will bring to COP International, thanks to the partnership signed between the two companies this year. The company specialises in advanced technology for the detection, tracking, identification and mitigation of drones, with the aim of raising public awareness about the responsible use of airspace. Dedrone is integrated into Axon’s ecosystem of connected public safety solutions. This powerful combination offers companies, forces and public safety agencies even more robust tools to protect the population and critical infrastructure from growing drone threats, while advancing Axon’s Drones as First Responders (DFR) programme.
Axon Fusus, an intelligence ecosystem equipped with advanced technology and data analysis tools, is another company highlight at COP International. With a crime recording centre in the cloud, the solution allows field teams to monitor incidents in real time, offering a unified monitoring and response vision for critical situations. The system can integrate various data sources, such as cameras, sensors, social media feeds and other information, providing a comprehensive and immediate view of ongoing criminal activity or emergencies.
By offering a single interface for public safety, Axon Fusus stimulates the improvement of field teams and proactive efforts to prevent crimes and serious incidents. The solution, which arrives in Brazil during the event, is already in use in 250 cities in the United States.
Axon Evidence will also be present at COP International. This solution facilitates data collection and simplifies digital evidence management, with third-party video storage and a robust workflow for redaction and transcription, as well as audit trails in a single cloud-based system. The popular Axon Body 4 handheld cameras capture evidence more effectively and stream live video, increasing safety and awareness in every situation, while ensuring transparency and accountability.
In addition to learning more about Axon’s innovative and technological solutions, COP International participants will have exclusive access to the brand’s experts, promoting an immersion in Axon solutions and expanding the debate on life prevention.
