Atech, an Embraer group company, and AMAZUL (Amazônia Azul Tecnologias de Defesa) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enter into scientific and technical cooperation agreements, as well as to exchange information in areas of common interest between the companies.
The agreement was signed by AMAZUL’s CEO, Newton de Almeida Costa Neto, Atech’s CEO, Rodrigo Persico, and other company executives during the 8th BID Brazil Exhibition, which took place this week at the Ulysses Guimarães Convention Center in Brasília – DF.
AMAZUL, a federal public company linked to the Ministry of Defense, has the mission of developing technologies for National Defense, especially in the naval and submarine sector, guaranteeing energy security.
This MoU reinforces ATECH’s expertise in developing solutions and potential opportunities based on the knowledge acquired by the company over more than 12 years of experience in developing the LABGENE (Nuclear-Electric Power Generation Laboratory) program, in which it is responsible for developing all the monitoring, control and protection systems, as well as working on the integration of the instrumentation systems and auxiliary systems that will operate in the unit.
The agreement is valid for five years from the date of signature and can be extended for the same period.
