Resende (RJ) – The Naval Academy (EN), the Agulhas Negras Military Academy (AMAN) and the Air Force Academy (AFA) have joined forces in a military exercise called ASPIRANTEX 2025, which promotes an exchange between aspirants from the Brazilian Navy (MB) and cadets from the Brazilian Army (EB) and the Brazilian Air Force (FAB).

ASPIRANTEX 2025 aims to carry out operational training and strengthen the military presence in the Blue Amazon region. Among the activities carried out by the contingent are clarification operations, surface actions, aerospace defense, electronic warfare and cyber warfare.

The operation began on January 10 and will continue until January 31, with the participation of 209 EN aspirants, 4 AMAN cadets and 4 AFA cadets, as well as 2,000 other military personnel. AMAN is taking part in the exercise with 1st Lieutenant Luan Lisboa de Aguiar and 4th year cadets Filipe Micael Santos da Silva and Daniel Hansell de Lima Bezerra, both from the Communications Course, as well as Cadet Andrei Mello de Souza, from the Engineering Course and Cadet Isabela Anjos dos Santos, from the Intendance Course.

On January 9, the AMAN cadets were welcomed at the Naval School and embarked on the frigate União (F-45). On this vessel, they followed operational tasks in combat and emergency scenarios. Among the activities highlighted were cargo transfer maneuvers between vessels (leap-frog) and ship inspection simulations, which showed the high level of preparation and the importance of cooperation between crew members.

During the mission, the participants visited various ports, including Recife (PE), Maceió (AL), Salvador (BA) and Natal (RN). In addition to operational activities, civic and social actions take place, such as blood donations and school renovations. For example, while anchored in the Port of Cabedelo (PB), part of the crew took part in a blood donation campaign at the João Pessoa Hemocentro.

Another training priority is joint exercises, including “crew division on emergency ferries” and “combat training in confined environments”, which highlight the importance of cooperation between all crew members on board the vessel.

The initiative reinforces interoperability between Brazil’s Armed Forces, as the military strengthen their ties with each other, promoting an exchange of experiences between the forces.

The activities of the 2025 edition of ASPIRANTEX continue until January 31 of this year.
