Roberto Jaguaribe, Ambassador of Brazil to Germany, will mediate a panel at the XX Forte International Security Conference, Latin America’s largest international security forum, which reaches its 20th edition in 2023. The event, between June 1st and 2nd at the Museum of Tomorrow, in Rio de Janeiro, will have the theme “Global Order in Transformation: facing the Perfect Storm”.

Jaguaribe will be on the panel “Global Economy and Strategic Partnerships in Times of War” to mediate the debate on the current state of the global economy and the strategic partnerships formed in the face of the traditional war scenario. Issues such as economic sanctions, reduced supply of essential commodities, and the benefits that strategic geopolitical partnerships can provide in times of war will be under discussion.

Other names already confirmed for the Forte Conference include the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Laura da Rocha and the former Minister of Finance Rubens Ricupero. The Conference is an initiative of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation (KAS-Brazil), in partnership with the Brazilian Center for International Relations (CEBRI) and support from the Delegation of the European Union in Brazil. Free registration for the event, which will also be broadcast live online, is open at https://forte.avscvirtual.com.br.
