AEROMOT, Brazil’s national reference in aeronautical technology, has signed a collaboration agreement with the Center for Aeronautical Studies (CAA) at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG). The partnership between the institutions seeks to boost the development of innovative solutions aimed at regional air mobility, a strategic sector for the expansion of transportation infrastructure in Brazil.
The agreement includes collaboration on research, innovation and development projects for sustainable aircraft and technologies, aimed at meeting the emerging needs of the Brazilian aeronautical market.
The partnership will strengthen the exchange of technical and scientific knowledge between engineers and researchers from AEROMOT and CAA-UFMG, with a focus on projects that promote operational efficiency, safety and sustainability in regional air transportation.
“We are very excited to join forces with a prestigious institution like CAA-UFMG. This cooperation is an important step forward in developing solutions that will transform regional air mobility in Brazil, meeting the growing demand for connectivity and accessibility in regions that lack efficient transportation infrastructure,” said Leonardo Andrade, CAA’s Business Development Manager and a CAA alumnus.
For his part, the coordinator of UFMG’s Center for Aeronautical Studies, Prof. Joel Laguardia, highlighted the relevance of the agreement for the academic community: “This partnership will allow our researchers and students to be at the forefront of technological innovations applied to aviation. It will also contribute to the country’s economic and technological development, reinforcing UFMG’s role as a leading player in aerospace research.”
With this agreement, AEROMOT reaffirms its commitment to innovation and the search for solutions that offer safe and sustainable alternatives for regional air mobility, benefiting the sector and society as a whole.
